The Irlam Locks
The construction of a small hydropower plant at Irlam Locks will supply electricity to 380 households.
The turbine will generate almost 1.6 GWh per year and provide an equivalent carbon saving of more than 700 tonnes of CO2 per year.

It is a small hydroelectric power station with three Archimedes turbines with a total capacity of 486 kW, built on the River Mersey in Warrington.

A small hydropower plant with one Archimedes turbine with an output of 200 kW. It generates approximately 900 MWh of renewable energy per year, saving 514 tonnes of CO2 per year.
It is built on the River Weaver in the north-west of England.

Manchester city centre lock. A small hydroelectric power station is located at one of the locks on this stretch. The Kaplan turbine, which has a capacity of 364 kW, is located in the old pumping station below the weir field.
